God’s Choices of Whom He will take Up and the Rapture Timing

Matthew 7:13-14   “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

The Rapture

Psalm 49:15b   God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, for He shall receive me.

John 6:39-40   “This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. [Last day refers to last day of Church Age.] And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 14:3   “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18   But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep [died], lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus [those who believed in God when they died]. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord [the coming of Jesus in the air—not to earth. Coming in the air is not His Second Coming to earth—that will not happen until after the 7-year tribulation] will by no means precede those who are asleep [those who have believed and have died]. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

[Continuing with the very next verse:]

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11   But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they [the unbelievers] say, “Peace and safety!” [This “peace” is what the deceiving antichrist will be promising] then sudden destruction [the tribulation period] comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation [saved for everlasting life]. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep [whether we are alive or have died], we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Romans 11:25-26   For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel [Most Jews still go by the Old Testament only and do not believe Jesus is the Savior—the Messiah—the Christ—the Son of God; but some of them have turned to Christianity.] until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in [“fullness” is speaking of all the non-Jews (Gentiles) coming to believe in God finishing the building of  the Church and then the Father will send His Son, Jesus to the air to rapture the believers]. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written [in Isaiah 59:20-21].

Pre-tribulation Rapture

Revelation 4:1   After these things
[Chapters 2 & 3 were where Jesus is telling John what He wants the seven churches to hear. It’s noteworthy that the last word in chapter 3, just one word before this beginning of chapter 4 is churches”.]
I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

[After this is after the Church is Raptured. The next chapter reveals the raptured believers praising God.]

Revelation 5:11   Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures [the raptured Church], and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.

[In the next verse  raptured voices are praising the Lord around the throne. Then the Antichrist appears in chapter 6, and the 144,000 saved Jews come in chapter agreeing with Rom. 11:26 above]

Romans 5:9   Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him,

[Saved from God’s righteous anger—His wrath— which will occur in the Tribulation]

1 Thessalonians 5:9   For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Thessalonians 1:10   and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Revelation 3:10   “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth,”

2 Thessalonians 1:6-7   Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,

[Would the Groom allow His bride—His own body—to be subjected to the Tribulation? Look what He says:]

Hebrews 13:5b   For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

[Why would He allow only those who are alive and remain, but not those who have died to be in Tribulation? He probably would not do that. We’re all one in Christ, and with God there is no partiality. Rom 2:11]

Revealing of the Antichrist & Beginning of the Seven-Year Tribulation

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12   Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. [The Thessalonians apparently thought they’d missed the Rapture.] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first [churches falling away], and the man of sin [the antichrist] is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He [He is the Holy Spirit indwelling the Church] is taken out of the way [taken away by the Rapture event]. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Daniel 11:36-37   Then the king [the antichrist] shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all.

Many Churches will “FALL AWAY” before the Antichrist will be revealed

1 Timothy 4:1   Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.

[Indoctrinated by false teaching]

Hebrews 6: 4-6   For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

[Many in the falling churches have heard but not truly believed. There’s enough truth in false teaching to make it extremely attractive.]

Matthew 7:13-14   Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Pray for the churches that are falling away!
