Revelation 1:7-8
7Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. 8“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 22:13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, theBeginning and the End, the First and the Last.
The Revelation is from Christ and about Christ. In Revelation 1:7 He (Jesus) will be seen by all at His Second Coming, whether then or during His Millennial reign or at the Great White Throne of judgment.
Jesus Christ is the equal Almighty God with the Father
(Revelation 15:3
-…..the song of the Lamb, saying “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! ;
Revelation 16:7 (Jesus, again, is being referred to as God Almighty)
-… “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.” ;
[Who will be doing the judgments?
John 5:26-27
26For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.
Matthew 25:31-32a-b
31“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another,
John 5:22For the Father judges no one, buthas committed all judgment to the Son,
The authority to perform judgment has been given to Jesus Christ, the Son of God!]
Let’s get back to our references referring to Jesus Christ being equal with Almighty God
Revelation 19:13-15c
13He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God….
15b-c And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God., Revelation 19:11).
[John 1:1:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14:
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.]
From the Book of Revelation and the Gospel of John, and probably other places in the Scriptures, we learn that Jesus is Almighty God, equal with God the Father; and He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
What a blessing it is that the Holy Spirit opens our understanding! Praise God!
