Some Die Once – Many Die Twice [Part 3]

Today only a short post in our series of Blog Posts from our upcoming book titled “One Way or Another Your Eternal Destination is Guaranteed” and today’s topic is: Is the Decision Only for Self?”

The DECISION is not to choose a first or the second death. The DECISION today is to escape a second death by accepting the free gift of eternal life by believing the truth of the resurrected Lord Jesus—OR—to reject the Lord Jesus and die an eternal suffering second death. To experience no death or the first death only; or to suffer the second death, is the consequence of the DECISION.

Romans 6:23
For the wages [penalty/fine] of sin is death; but the [free]gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Decision only for Self?

However, the decision should consider others as well as for self. Once a person has been saved, he should share the peace and joy by not being ashamed to tell others:

Philippians 2:3
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

One Way

There is only One Way to heaven; that is through accepting the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ, in a sense, took on the sentence of that second death for us. He suffered and died for us so that we could have life in heaven with the Father and with Himself. One of His twelve disciples, Thomas, asked, “How can we know the way?” (John 14:5b) Jesus answered:

John 14:6a, c
Jesus said to him, “I am the way
No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

In the complete verse of John 14:6, the Savior also reminded His twelve disciples that not only is He the way, but also He is the Truth, meaning He never lies, and He is the life, which expresses our life eternal.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

The Decision

The DECISION is to make an urgent life-changing choice. The choice is given by what our Creator confirms for us: choose Life.

Deuteronomy 30:19b
Therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;”

Pray that people will come to the knowledge of the Truth before it’s too late, and make the right DECISION so not to suffer the Second Death.
