God has already identified the effects of man attempting to change culture. Of course the culture of a nation can be temporarily influenced. But the Lord Jesus Christ controls the eternal consequences.
Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
Malachi 3:6a “For I am the LORD, I do not change”
Violent protesting, riots, lootings, boasters, shootings, murderers, lawlessness, releasing of felon criminals, decreasing funds for law enforcement, politicizing climate control, and indoctrinating children, teens, and young adults with opinions about sexual orientation can have detrimental, long term, end results. Consider the severe eternal consequences:
Revelation 21:8 “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable [disgusting to God], murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
God has never broken a promise. God does not lie:
Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.
Man is on God’s footstool. God controls the climate—and the limits of the oceans:
Job 38:22-30 “Have you entered the treasury of snow, or have you seen the treasury of hail, which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war? By what way is light diffused, or the east wind scattered over the earth? Who has divided a channel for the overflowing water, or a path for the thunderbolt, to cause it to rain on a land where there is no one, a wilderness in which there is no man; to satisfy the desolate waste, and cause to spring forth the growth of tender grass? Has the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of dew? From whose womb comes the ice? And the frost of heaven, who gives it birth? The waters harden like stone, and the surface of the deep is frozen.”
Ecclesiastes 1:7 All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; to the place from which the rivers come, there they return again.
Job 38:8-11 “Or who shut the sea with doors, when it bust forth and issued from the womb; when I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band; when I fixed My limit for it, and set the bars and doors; when I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!’”
The truth of God’s Word cannot be denied. The first chapter of Romans ends with fourteen verses which precisely describe the current downward spiral of the “Antifa”, “Woke”, “Progressive”, “Cancel Culture”, communities:
Romans 1:18-32 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest [evident] in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God [they chose the “Big Bang” theory instead], nor were thankful, but became futile [useless and evil] in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed [cancelled culture] the glory of the incorruptible God into an image [note the coming downward spiral] made like corruptible [perishable] man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use of r what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind [no foundation for reasoning ability], to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness [greed], maliciousness [malice/hatred/evilness]; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers [gossiper], backbiters [talking about people behind their back], haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death [the second death], not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them [They spur one another on].
Rather than saying a believer is “holier than thou”, or saying they are more civilized, or more educated and refined, the follower of Jesus Christ is actually loving the ones who are portrayed in the above passage. The true believer is praying for them to not undergo that resurrection to God’s judgment and be sentenced to their second death. God’s Word tells us that He is the One who judges sinners—not His followers:
Romans 2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
The only thing any of mankind can do to be saved is to know we have all broken at least one of God’s Commandments. To be saved we must repent—that is confess to God and sincerely ask for forgiveness; admit that we need the Savior (since we cannot save ourselves); believe that Jesus shed His blood to forgive us and that He died on the cross in our place of the second death; believe He was raised back to life on the third day, walked on this earth for forty days thereafter, ascended to the right hand of His Father; and believe He is coming back at any moment to take us up in the Rapture!
When we seek Him with a sincere heart, we find Him, and His Holy Spirit indwells us and keeps us from practicing evil offenses against Him.
1 Corinthians 10:13-14 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
Have you found Him?
