My Faith
My wife and I attend the Columbia Valley Bible Fellowship – a non-denominational church.
Our final authority for faith and conduct is the Bible.
We believe the Bible to be the Divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God, revealing the ruin of man by sin and his redemption through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 1:7).
We believe in the one true God, creator of all, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:22, Deuteronomy 6:4, John 10:30, Acts 5:3-4, 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe in the absolute deity of the Lord Jesus Christ – true God and true man. He is the only begotten and eternal Son of God, miraculously born of the virgin Mary. His life was absolutely perfect and sinless (John 1:1, John 1:14-18, John 20:28, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 2:5, Matthew 1:18-25, 1 Peter 2:21-22).
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for sin. On Calvary’s cross, Jesus Christ fully and eternally paid the penalty for sin and completed the work of redemption. God attested to His finished work by raising Him from the dead (John 14:6, Acts 4:10-12, Romans 3:24, 1 Peter 3:18,
1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Hebrews 7:24-27).
We believe in the forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ. All who believe in Him receive eternal life, are “born again”, and become members of His church (Romans 3:21-26, Ephesians 1:7).
We believe in the imminent and personal return of Christ for His church (John 14:1-3,
1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18).
