WHAT INSPIRED MIKE TO COMPILE?

The Study Guide “DIGGING DEEP into THE REVELATION of JESUS CHRIST” has now been published for two years. We are still excited about it and how it makes the experience of studying the Book of Revelation so much more convenient and putting all the resources and information right at your fingertips.

Today, I want to share Mike’s response to the question:

“WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO WRITE YOUR BOOK?”

The inspiration for the book, Digging Deep into the Revelation of Jesus Christ, came from three important sources.
First, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”, the last Book in the Bible, tells us in chapter 1, verse 3:

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

This was and still is the first motivation—for others to be blessed by learning both of God’s truths and of His warnings.

His warning, for the time is near, is the second impetus. With all the madness going on in this world around us today, the time for Christ’s return is surely imminent.  Factually hundreds of prophecies have been faithfully fulfilled.

The next two prophecies to occur are the rapture of all believers followed by the deception of those who will continue to reject the Savior. It deeply motivates me to urge those to listen and to not be led into the Great Tribulation, or worst of all, eternal suffering—all described in the Book of Revelation.

The third incentive came from our local assembly’s participants in a weekly Bible study who requested a meaningful, thorough, quality study in the Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Mike would like to be called the compiler, because most of the study guide is quoting both Scripture, which God authored, and commentaries by solid brothers in Christ, and some of his own commentary.

We both, Mike and Elfriede, pray that it will be a great resource and help in studying the Book of Revelation.

We believe that the Book of Revelation is very relevant today!
